Top 3 Ohio Sporting Centers

Jan 27, 2014

As sports enthusiasts, we know that when you are traveling in a state like Ohio, you can’t help but wonder how the local stadiums and sports centers are like. We know you are not the only ones. We have had lots of Ohio charter bus customers who have made special requests so that we can bring them around to catch a local game of football, baseball, basketball or tennis.

Here are some of Ohio’s Ohio’s best sporting centers and stadiums.

Cincinnati Sports Centers

It’s always fun to take a drive out and about in Ohio’s hilly Cincinnati because there is a burst of variety in terms of landscape and outdoor escapes. Cincinnati locals love their sports teams so, if you are in the city this time of the year, be sure to book a ticket to one of the games playing.

Sports enthusiasts should bring the rented Ohio charter bus around to some of the famous sports venues. For instance, you will instantly fall in love with Cincinnati Gymnasium and Athletic Club which doubles up as a historical landmark located on Shillito Place. It isn’t hard getting to the sports center because it is located right smack in the middle of the downtown city center area and we are sure our Ohio charter bus driver can bring you to the place easily. The sports center was founded and designed by Rutherford B. Hayes in 1853 and despite having moved its headquarters to a bigger facility some time in 1902, the four-storey building continues to hold significant historical value.

Cincinnati Sports Center is second only to NYC’s Columbus University when it comes to being a world class gymnasium.

Lindner Family Tennis Center

Lindner Family Tennis Center was built some time in 1979 as an internationally-renowned tennis center in Mason, Ohio. The intention for building the courts was to provide a tournament location for Western and Southern Open in 1979. Understandably, championship organizers found it cumbersome having to deal with constant flooding occurring at Coney Island Amusement Park which was where the championships were previously held. We have brought many Ohio visitors here for group getaways.

Various efforts were made to improve, add courts, renovate and expand the tennis center over the years. After going through repetitive expansion over time since its inception in 1979, the courts were closed for 11 months for renovations in 2009.

Nippert Stadium

Nippert’s been around since 1901 as a part of University of Cincinnati’s expansive football stadium and Bearcat’s football team. Last year, 2013, they saw a record-breaking number of people who came together for a college football game....36,007 people amassed the game and it was truly an eye-opening experience for all.

We are not the only ones who are free with our generous compliments about Nippert Stadium, USA Today, in 2012, claimed that it was the best football stadium in the region.
